Characteristics

Decumbent, sprawling shrub, branches 0.15-0.60 m long; densely coarsely hairy, with rough sessile and bulbous-based/stipitate stellate hairs. Leaves long-petiolate (± 20 mm), ovate to cordate, ± 80 mm long, margins crenate; terminal venation reticulate, upper surface velutinous with sessile, stellate hairs, rugose with age, lower surface coarsely stellate-hairy. Stipules parted at base into 2 or 3 leaf-like segments. Inflorescences in axillary or terminal panicles, with 2-flowered peduncles of ± 5 mm long; pedicels filiform, indumentum less dense. Flowers 10 mm long, yellow. Calyx campanulate, 5-lobed beyond middle, lobes attenuate, velutinous with sessile, stellate hairs. Petals twice as long as calyx. Flowering time Mar.?.
