Characteristics

Small shrublet very near H. tomentosa but having an erect habit, a more yellowish indumentum and, most important diagnostically, petals 2·5–4 × 1·4–2 mm., obovate-cuneate, truncate and often retuse at the apex and with the margins not inrolled in the upper part but distinctly so in the lower half.
