Characteristics

Decumbent suffrutex, branches ± 0.3 m long; glandular-hairy and glutinous, interspersed with coarse, white, stellate hairs. Leaves petiolate, cuneate at base, lanceolate to oblong-lanceolate, serrate. Stipules leaf-like, clasping, ovate. Inflorescences 1-or 2-flowered; peduncles ± 18 mm long; pedicels filiform, coarsely hairy with glandular and stellate hairs (often stipitate). Flowers 9 mm long, claret-coloured. Calyx campanulate, 5-lobed to middle, lobes attenuate; gland-dotted, also with stellate and simple hairs. Petals 1.5x as long as calyx. Flowering time Oct.-Feb.
