Branching annual herb up to c. 30 cm. tall, stellate-pubescent in all its vegetative parts with sometimes a few glandular hairs scattered on the young stems.
Flowers solitary in the upper axils; peduncle slender, up to 2·5 cm. long; pedicel c. 2 mm. long; bract c. 0·5 mm. long, solitary, subulate.
Stamens with obovate filaments 1·5–2 mm. long, often entirely without hairs on the shoulders; anthers 1–1·5 mm. long, pubescent.
Capsule 3 × 4 mm., ovoid-truncate, with short horns c. 0·5 mm. long, stellate-pubescent and with some short glandular hairs.
Calyx c. 4 × 3 mm., campanulate, with scattered simple and glandular hairs; lobes c. 2 mm. long, deltoid-acuminate.
Petals 3–5 × 0·75–1 mm., yellow, narrowly oblanceolate, margin slightly inrolled in the lower half.
Ovary globose, very shortly stipitate, glandular; styles 0·75–1·5 mm. long, puberulous at the base.
Seeds c. 1·3 × 0·75 mm., brown, subreniform, wrinkled, very minutely granular.
