Plants (60-)100-200 mm high, slender. Corm ± ovoid, 3-6 mm diam., asymmetric with well-developed lateral ridge; tunics woody, dark brown, concentric, fragmenting vertically into elliptic sections. Stem slender, rarely with 1 branch. Leaves 3, lower 2 ± basal, linear, ± plane but wider in midline, up to half as long as stem, 0.5-1.5 mm wide, upper leaf cauline, lower half sheathing stem, with long free apex. Spike flexuose, 4-to 7-flowered; bracts ± membranous, often dry near tips, 7-10 mm long. Flowers crepuscular, ± rotate, white, outer tepals often flushed brown outside; perianth tube straight, 6-10 mm long, cylindric, wider near apex; tepals subequal, obovate, 8-13 x 3.5-5.0 mm, spreading. Filaments ± 3 mm long; anthers 4.5-6.0 mm long, held horizontally, white; pollen white. Style branches ± 7 mm long, ascending, reaching to ± middle of anthers in closed flower. Capsules ovoid, 5-6 mm long. Seeds angular-prismatic.
