Characteristics

Plants 40-50 mm high. Corm ± ovoid, 4-5 mm diam., asymmetric; tunics woody, concentric, dark brown. Stem slender, sometimes 1-branched. Leaves 3, lower 2 ± basal, falcate, 20-30 x < 1 mm, upper leaf cauline, sheathing lower half of stem. Spike 1-to 3-flowered; bracts green, becoming pale and membranous distally, 3-5 mm long. Flowers crepuscular, ± rotate, white, outer tepals brown outside; perianth tube straight, 4-5 mm long, cylindric; tepals subequal, narrowly ovate, 5-6 x ± 2 mm, spreading. Filaments weakly diverging, ± 1 mm long; anthers 2-3 mm long, white; pollen white. Style branches ± 3 mm long, ascending, reaching to ± middle of anthers in closed flower.
