Terrestrial herb, geophyte with root tubers, robust, up to 0.31 m high. Scape minutely and thinly hairy. Leaves 2, flat on ground, up to 35 mm wide, glabrous, not withering before flowering. Inflorescence lax, hairy raceme; flowers secund, many, sepals green, petals and lip white to pale green. Sepals subequal, connivent; dorsal sepal 3 mm long. Petals 5 mm long, cohering with base of lip. Lip 7-9 mm, deeply 5-lobed; spur 3 mm long. Flowering time Aug.-Oct.
