Slender, tuberous geophyte to 36 cm, scape silky hairy. Leaves 2, basal, ovate, hairy. Flowers many in a dense raceme, green, petals entire, lip spurred and with 3-5 lobes.
Inflorescence 4–7 cm long, fairly densely many-flowered, flowers secund; ovary 3 mm long; bracts 2.5 mm long, sparsely hairy.
Petals 3.3–3.4 × 1–1.5 mm, lanceolate-ligulate, obtuse, thickened towards the tip, entire.
Lip 2.8–3.5 × 2.2–2.8 mm, 3-lobed; lobes 0.6–1.2 mm long, obtuse, somewhat papillose.
Sepals 2–2.5 × 1.4–1.7 mm, ovate, obtuse, glabrous, the lateral sepals oblique.
Leaves 2, appressed to ground, 16–25 × 15–27 mm, heart-shaped, pilose.
Spur c. 2 mm long, the apex obtuse and slightly upturned.
Scape without sheaths, with spreading hairs.
Tubers c. 17 × 10 mm, ovoid, villous.
Terrestrial herb 18–30 cm tall.
Flowers buff to straw-yellow.
Anther 1 mm high.
Ovary hairy.
