Characteristics

Shrub or small tree to 5 m tall; indumentum brown to grey-brown, hairs curled to ± straight, appressed to somewhat spreading. Leaves: stipules 1.5–3 mm long; petiole 3–5 mm long; lamina very narrow-elliptic to narrow-elliptic, 3.5–8.5 cm long, 5–20 mm wide, margin recurved to slightly revolute, upper surface ± smooth, with fine reticulate venation, glabrous, lower surface with indumentum of orange-brown mostly spready hairs. Inflorescences mostly of 2 or 3 flowers, subsessile or peduncle to 2.5 mm long; pedicel 1.5–4 mm long, bract inserted 1–2.5 mm distal to base; bract and bracteoles oblong-lanceolate to lanceolate, 1.5–3.5 mm long. Calyx 4–5 mm long, tube 2–3 mm long, upper lip c. 3 mm wide. Standard 9–10 mm long, flare green-yellow; wing 3–3.5 mm wide. Pod sparsely hairy, glabrescent, sessile. Aril of seed 5–6 mm long, not expanded distally, hilum c. 4.5–5 mm long.
