Characteristics

Shrub to 3 m tall; indumentum mostly brown, the hairs mostly appressed. Leaves: stipules 1 mm long; petiole 8–10 mm long; lamina ± elliptic to very narrow-elliptic, 2.5–10 cm long, 10–32 (–60) mm wide, margin flat, upper surface ± smooth, glabrous. Inflorescences of 1–7 flowers, sometimes racemose, sessile or peduncle to c. 5 mm long; pedicel 4–9 mm long, bract at or near base; bract and bracteoles ovate, 1–1.5 mm long. Calyx 5.1–6.4 mm long, tube 1.8–2.9 mm long, upper lip 5–8 mm wide. Standard 10.5–14.5 mm long, flare white, wing 3.5–5.5 mm wide. Pod glabrous, stipe 5–6 mm long. Aril of seed 3.5–4 mm long, including a long distal extension, hilum c. 1.5–2 mm long.
