Characteristics

Subshrub, trailing to sub-erect, mostly less than 0.5 m tall; indumentum brown and silvery or grey, the hairs all ± straight and appressed. Leaves: stipules 1–2 mm long; petiole 1.5–3 mm long; lamina shape often varying markedly on one plant, orbicular to narrow-elliptic, ovate to lanceolate or linear, 0.6–8 cm long, 1.5–17 mm wide, margin recurved to revolute, upper surface ± smooth, glabrous, lower surface sparsely to densely appressed-hairy. Inflorescences mostly of 2 or 3 flowers, sessile; pedicel 1.5–3 mm long, bract at or near base; bract and bracteoles narrow-oblong, narrow-ovate or lanceolate, 0.6–2.2 mm long. Calyx 3.5–5 (–6) mm long, tube 2–2.5 mm long, upper lip 3–4 mm wide. Standard 6–8 mm long, flare green-yellow; wing 2–3 mm wide. Pod sparsely hairy, glabrescent, sessile. Aril of seed 2.5–3.5 mm long, not expanded distally, hilum 1.5–2.5 mm long.
