Characteristics

Shrub to 3 m tall; indumentum grey to grey-brown, the hairs coiled to straightish. Leaves: stipules 1–3.2 mm long; petiole 4–8 mm long; lamina very narrow-elliptic, lanceolate or narrow-oblong to lorate, 3.5–9 cm long, 7–15 mm wide, margin flat, upper surface with hairs along midrib, sometimes more widespread, lower surface covered by a close tan or grey-tan indumentum, greying with age. Inflorescences mostly of 2 or 3 flowers, subsessile or peduncle to 1.5 (–4) mm long; pedicel 1–3 mm long, bract inserted at or near base; bract and bracteoles narrow-ovate to lanceolate, 1–3 mm long. Calyx 5–7 mm long, tube 2.5–3.8 mm long, upper lip 4.5–6 mm wide. Standard 8–10 mm long, flare green-yellow; wing 3–4 mm wide. Pod sparsely hairy, glabrescent, sessile. Aril of seed 3–3.5 mm long, slightly expanded distally, hilum c. 2 mm long.
