Characteristics

Shrub to 3 m tall; indumentum brown or grey-brown, the hairs coiled or sometimes straightish, divergent. Leaves: stipules 0.5–1 mm long; petiole 3.5–5.5 mm long; lamina narrow-oblong to linear, 2.5–5.5 cm long, 3.5–8.5 mm wide, margin flat to recurved, upper surface smooth, hairs along midrib, lower surface covered by a close cream, pale tan to orange-tan indumentum. Inflorescences mostly of 2 or 3 flowers, subsessile or peduncle to 4.5 mm long; pedicel 2–14 mm long, bract up to 5.5 mm distal to base; bract and bracteoles ovate to narrow-ovate, 0.7–1.5 (–2) mm long. Calyx 3.5–4.5 mm long, tube 2.2–2.7 mm long, upper lip c. 4 mm wide. Standard 6–8.2 mm long, flare green-yellow; wing 2–3.3 mm wide. Pod sparsely to moderately hairy, sessile. Aril of seed 4–5 mm long, not expanded distally, hilum 3–4 mm long.
