Characteristics

Shrub to 3 m tall; indumentum brown to white-grey, the hairs curled to ± straight, appressed or somewhat spreading. Leaves: stipules 1–2 mm long; petiole 2–6.5 mm long; lamina narrow-to very narrow-elliptic or narrow-oblong to lorate, 1.2–7 cm long, 4–10 (–17) mm wide, margin recurved, upper surface dark green, smooth, hairs along midrib, lower surface with dense, curled, white or tawny hairs. Inflorescences mostly of 2 flowers, sessile; pedicel 1.5–2.5 mm long, bract at or near base of calyx; bract and bracteoles ovate, oblong or obovate, 2.2–4 mm long. Calyx 5.2–8.5 mm long, tube 2.5–6 mm long, upper lip 3.5 mm wide. Standard 11.5–17 mm long, flare green-yellow; wing 3.5–4.5 mm wide. Pod moderately hairy, sessile. Aril of seed c. 3 mm long, not expanded distally, hilum c. 2 mm long.
