Characteristics

Shrub to 2.2 m tall; indumentum grey-brown to grey, the hairs long, spreading, basal portion coiled. Leaves: stipules 2–4 mm long; petiole 2–2.5 mm long; lamina ± linear, 3.5–6.5 (–9) cm long, 2.2–3.5 (–5) mm wide, margin revolute, upper surface with strongly raised veins, glabrous, lower surface mostly covered in coiled to straightish hairs, numerous long hairs spreading from midrib and leaf margins. Inflorescences mostly of 2 flowers, sessile; pedicel 1–2 mm long, bract inserted 0.7–1 mm distal to base; bract and bracteoles narrow-ovate to lanceolate, 1.5–3 mm long. Calyx 4.5–5.5 mm long, tube 2–2.8 mm long, upper lip 3–3.5 mm wide. Standard 8 mm long, flare yellow; wing 3.5–4 mm wide. Pod sparsely to moderately hairy, sessile. Aril of seed 4.8 mm long, not expanded distally, hilum c. 3.8 mm long.
