Characteristics

Shrub or small tree to 4 m tall; indumentum brown to grey-brown, the hairs curled to straightish, appressed to somewhat spreading. Leaves: stipules 1.3–1.8 mm long; petiole 3–4.5 mm long; lamina ± lorate, 2.5–8 cm long, 4–6 (–9) mm wide, margin recurved to slightly revolute, upper surface ± smooth or veins raised, glabrous, lower surface with dense curled to coiled orange-brown hairs, and also spreading hairs. Inflorescences of 1–3 flowers, subsessile or peduncle to 2 mm long; pedicel 2–4 mm long, bract inserted 0.5–2 mm distal to base; bract and bracteoles narrow-ovate to lanceolate, 1.2–3 mm long. Calyx 4–5 mm long, tube 2.5–2.7 mm long, upper lip c. 3 mm wide. Standard 7–8 mm long, flare green-yellow; wing 2–3.5 mm wide. Pod sparsely hairy, sessile. Aril of seed 5 mm long, not expanded distally, hilum c. 4 mm long.
