Characteristics

Erect tall willowy shrub presumably several m. in height but exact measurements not known.. Stems red, sticky and rough with extremely dense aromatic tubercular-based hairs.. Leaves 26–48-foliolate; leaflets shortly petiolulate, linear-oblong or mostly slightly broader at the base, 0.5–1.8 cm. long, 2–4 mm. wide, obtuse and shortly mucronate at the apex, obliquely slightly emarginate at the base, glabrescent or margins slightly ciliolate, the main nerve somewhat eccentric particularly at the base but not dividing the leaf into distinct parts; petiole 0.7–2 cm. long; stipules soon falling, not seen.. Inflorescences, in only specimen seen, apparently axillary, paniculate, 15–20 cm. long, composed of shortly pedunculate strobils, 15–20-flowered, 2–5 cm. long; axes of inflorescence with similar indumentum to the stem; pedicels ± 2 mm. long; bracts greenish-pink, 1–1.2 cm. long, 1.3–1.6 cm. wide, shallowly divided at the apex for scarcely one-fifth of the length into 2 rounded lobes, which are densely margined with glandular tubercular-based hairs, a few of which are also scattered on the surface; bracteoles oblong-elliptic, 3 mm. long, 1 mm. wide, with similar hairs.. Calyx 8 mm. long, glabrous.. Standard apricot-yellow, oblong-panduriform, 8.5 mm. long, 5.5 mm. wide.. Pods of 1 article, compressed, upper margin straight, lower strongly rounded, 6.5 mm. long, 5 mm. wide.. Seeds chestnut-brown, compressed reniform, longest dimension 4 mm., shorter dimension 3.5 mm., 2 mm. thick.
