Creeping herb with stems 20–75 cm. long, densely hairy, rooting at the nodes; leafy and flowering shoots reaching a height of 5–10 cm. above ground-level.. Leaf-blades ovate to ovate-oblong, 1.2–7 cm. long, 0.5–5.1 cm. wide, acute or subacute at the apex, less often ± rounded, cordate at the base, glabrous above except for lower part of midnerve or latter entirely hairy and with some scattered hairs on the surface as well, pubescent beneath, particularly on the nerves; petiole 0.5–10 cm. long, hairy; stipules oblong or triangular, 3–8 mm. long, 1.5–2.5 mm. wide, bifid, hairy and ciliate..
