Flowers solitary at the ends of the branches.. Sepals ± unequal, ovate or ovate-lanceolate, subacute, without black opaque marginal dots.. Petals ascending in anthesis so that the flower appears cup-shaped, 2.7–3.5 cm. long, 1.6–2.5 cm. wide, orange-yellow with bright red outside, without black marginal dots.. Stamens in 5 bundles of about 27 each.. Styles 5, united in the lower part.. Capsule 5-valved..
