Characteristics

Corms ovoid, 0.8-1 cm long, 0.6-0.8 cm wide; tunic absent or papery. Roots tuberous or sometimes fleshy-fibrous. Leaf lamina flat, becoming complicate, obtuse, 5-35 cm long, 0.9-2 mm wide, sparsely hairy. Inflorescences 1-3, 7-25 cm long, 1-3-flowered; axes sparsely pubescent; pedicels 1.4-3 cm long; bracteoles single, 0.8-3.5 mm long. Perianth lobes 7-14 mm long, glabrous outside, pale yellow. Stamens 3-5.5 mm long; filaments alternately long and short, 1.8-3.5 mm long; anthers 1.8-3 mm long, attached near middle. Style ±filiform, 1.9-3.3 mm long including ±narrowly triangular lobes 0.4-1 mm long; ovary 1.5-2.5 mm long, 3-locular, glabrescent. Capsules ±ellipsoidal, to c. 5 mm long. Seeds ±irregularly depressed-globular, 1-1.3 mm wide, red-brown, colliculate-rugulose, shiny.
