Herbs or subshrubs, pubescent with uniseriate and glandular hairs, to ca 1 m. Leaves oblong-lanceolate, acute, crenate, the bases truncate, to 5 cm long and 1.5 cm wide, pubescent on both surfaces, densely so beneath; sessile. Inflores-cences capitula, ca 1-1.5 cm wide, the peduncles 1.5-3.5 cm long, the bracts linear or subulate, ca 7-10 mm long, densely pubescent.
