Leaves alternate, remote in lower part of stem and petiole to 5 cm, ± crowded in upper part of stem and subsessile; leaf blade pale green abaxially, deep green adaxially, ovate or ovate-oblong, 5-12 × 2.5-4.5 cm, submembranous, stipular glands subulate or broadly linear, setose between teeth, often with sparse glands along basal margin, lateral veins 5-9 pairs, fine, curved, base narrowed or rarely subrounded, margin crenate-serrate, apex acuminate. Inflorescences terminal or in upper leaf axils, racemose, many flowered; peduncles overtopping petioles, 8-13 cm. Pedicels spreading, 1-1.7 cm, slender, bracteate at base; bracts persistent, linear or linear-lanceolate, 1-2 mm, apex aristate. Flowers pink, ca. 1 cm. Lateral sepals 2, broadly ovate, very small, 1-2 mm, apex long mucronulate. Lower sepal navicular, narrowed into an incurved spur; spur ca. 1 cm, slender; mouth vertical, acuminate. Upper petal green, cucullate, broadly ovate, ca. 3 mm, abaxial midvein not thickened, not carinate; lateral united petals not clawed, ca. 6 mm, 2-lobed; basal lobes orbicular, ca. 4 mm. Filaments linear, very short; anthers orbicular, apex obtuse. Ovary fusiform. Capsule fusiform, 8-15 mm. Fl. Jul-Aug.
