Leaves spirally arranged or in verticils of generally 3–4; petiole 2–12.5 cm. long, slender, with 1–4 pairs of ± 1.5 mm. long stipitate glands at the top immediately below the lamina; lamina broadly ovate to ovate-elliptical, 4.7–13.3 cm. long, 3–7.2 cm. broad, the base slightly attenuate into the petiole, the apex somewhat acuminate, subacute, glabrous or sparsely pubescent above and beneath; lateral veins 3–9 pairs; margin coarsely crenate or ± crenulate.. Flowers solitary, epedunculate, pink, rarely white, with 2 small magenta spots towards the base of the lateral united petals.. Bracts linear-subulate, 2–3 mm. long, inconspicuous.. Pedicels 6.4–8.5 cm. long, slender, usually glabrous.. Lateral sepals lanceolate-oblong, 4–7 mm. long, obtuse, shortly apiculate.. Lower sepal shallowly navicular, 9–11 mm. long, 3.5–4 mm. deep, abruptly constricted into a 33–52 mm. long curved filiform spur.. Dorsal petal broadly obcordate, 13–15 mm. long, 14–19 mm. broad, dorsally with a narrow crest terminating in a short acute point..
