Characteristics

Plants 15-20 cm tall, slender, glabrous. Stem erect, slender, simple. Leaves few, crowded at upper part of stem, alternate; petiole short, 1-1.5 cm, slender; leaf blade broadly ovate, 3-5 × 2.5-3 cm, thinly membranous, setose between teeth, 1-or 2-glandular-setose, midvein fine, lateral veins 4 or 5 pairs, base rounded, attenuate into petiole, hyaline margined, margin crenulate, apex acute. Inflorescences axillary, 1-flowered; peduncles slightly longer than petioles, slender. Pedicel bracteate below flower; bracts linear-lanceolate. Flowers ?pink, ca. 2.5 cm deep. Lateral sepals 2, obliquely ovate, ca. 4 mm, reticulate veined, hyaline margined, apex obtuse. Lower sepal cornute, gradually narrowed into an incurved spur; spur ca. 3 cm, slender; mouth ca. 7 mm, tip cuspidate. Upper petal orbicular, ca. 9 mm in diam., base cordate, apex retuse, abaxial midvein shortly cristate; lateral united petals shortly clawed, 1.5-1.8 cm, 2-lobed; basal lobes very small; distal lobes suborbicular, large, apically retuse; auricle conspicuous. Filaments linear, very short; anthers obtuse. Ovary erect, striate, linear. Capsule not seen. Fl. and fr. unknown.
