Low perennial herb with a thin creeping rootstock; stems weak, procumbent or ascending, 20–30 cm. long, rooting at the lower nodes.. Leaves spirally arranged; petiole 1.2–4 cm. long, slender, usually glabrous; lamina ovate or ± deltate, 1.5–6 cm. long, 1.6–3.4 cm. broad, the apex acute or somewhat acuminate, the base abruptly cuneate, glabrous on both surfaces or with a few short hairs along the midrib and lateral veins above; lateral veins 3–4 pairs; margin crenate-crenulate.. Flowers solitary, epedunculate, rose-pink or mauvish.. Bracts subulate, 1–1.5 mm. long, inconspicuous.. Pedicels 20–30 mm. long, slender, glabrous..
