Leaves spirally arranged; petiole 0.5–6.2 cm. long, slender; lamina ovate to broadly-elliptical or elliptic-oblanceolate, occasionally suborbicular, 4.2–16 cm. long, 2.1–6.5 cm. broad, attenuate into the petiole, the apex obtuse or somewhat acuminate, sparsely pubescent on both surfaces or glabrous above; lateral veins (3–)4–8 pairs; margin strongly crenate or crenate-dentate, with several 1–2 mm. long fimbriae towards the base..
