Robust suffruticose perennial to 4 m.; stems thick and succulent, erect, simple, generally only branched at the base, densely leaved especially towards the apex, glabrous.. Leaves spirally arranged, occasionally subopposite; petiole (2–)4–13 cm. long; lamina oblong-elliptic to oblong or elliptic-lanceolate, 11.5–28 cm. long, 5.5–12.4 cm. broad, the apex subacute or shortly acuminate, the base slightly attenuate or subrounded, glabrous above, pubescent on the midrib and lateral veins beneath; lateral veins 16–26 pairs; margin finely crenate-dentate with several 2–2.5 mm. long fimbriae toward the bases; stipule-like processes present, crescent-shaped, 4–7 mm., cupped beneath.. Flowers in axillary fascicles of 3–10, epedunculate, white, the lateral united petals veined and dotted purple towards the base.. Bracts linear-subulate, 2–4 mm. long..
