Characteristics

Perennial herb, 0.2-0.8 m high; covered with silvery, biramous hairs. Leaves 3-5(7)-foliolate. Terminal leaflet ± 20 mm long, oblanceolate, entire, base acute, apex mucronulate, upper surface glabrous, midvein impressed, lower surface hairy, midvein prominent. Inflorescences of racemes with caducous bracts, as long as or longer than upper buds; peduncles up to 80 mm long. Flowers salmon-red. Calyx with lobes longer than tube, linear-triangular, apex long drawn out. Flowering time Sept.-Mar. Pod up to 34 mm long, laterally compressed, straight.
