Stems (or perhaps branches from a shrub) erect, 40 cm or more long, 2 mm thick below, branching, the younger branches slightly angular, somewhat greyish-green or brownish (perhaps purplish when alive), adpressed-pubescent with minute whitish centrally fixed hairs. Leaves 1 x 5-3 cm long; leaflets 9-13, the lateral opposite in 4-6 pairs, 5-11 mm long, 1-4 mm broad, oblong or cuneate-oblong, obtuse, apiculate, finely and minutely adpressed-pubescent on both sides, drying fuscous. Racemes 3-9 cm long, the longer 3-4 times as long as the leaves, with the peduncle below the lowest scar of fallen flowers as long as or longer than the leaves, very slender, less than 0.5 mm thick, up to 30-flowered. Flowers lax. Pedicels 2-3 x 5 mm long. Calyx about 1 mm long; lobes deltoid, acute. Corolla about 5 mm long, shortly and acutely pointed in mature bud; standard adpressed-pubescent with brown hairs on the back. Very young pods more or less curved, with a much curved style conspicuously thickened at the basal half; mature pods not seen.
