Characteristics

Annual branching herb ± 45 cm. tall, everywhere covered with white medifixed hairs, those on stems and inflorescences spreading at the tips.. Stipules brownish, narrowly attenuate, up to 4mm. long; rhachis channelled above, up to ± 3 cm. long, including a petiole of 4–6 mm., usually prolonged 1–2 mm. beyond the lateral leaflets; leaflets 9–13, narrowly cuneate-oblong, ± 10 mm. long and 2 mm. wide, appressed strigose.. Raceme 10–20-flowered, up to 6 cm. long, including a peduncle of up to 6 mm.; bracts 2–3 mm. long, very caducous; pedicels erect, ± 1 mm. long.. Calyx ± 4 mm. long, divided for three-quarters of its length into narrowly attenuate teeth.. Corolla caducous, ± 4.5 mm. long, densely strigose outside.. Stamens ± 4 mm. long.. Pod subcylindric, 6–7 mm. long, 2 mm. wide, 2–4-seeded; endocarp spotted in 4 rows.. Seeds cuboid, with 3–4 pits on eaoh face.
