Branches prostrate from a woody perennial taproot, more or less sparsely appressed strigulose almost throughout, the hairs up to 1 mm. long.. Stipules linear, up to 3 mm. long; rhachis up to 15 mm. long, including a petiole of ± 1 mm., but usually much shorter, not or but shortly (± 1 mm.) prolonged beyond lateral leaflets; leaflets 5–13, often with dark crimson processes in their axils, elliptic-oblong or euneate-obovate, up to 10 mm. long and 3 mm. wide, but usually much smaller, sometimes glabrous above, always having a blister at each side and another beneath the tip.. Racemes 2–3-flowered; peduncle glabrous and up to 2 cm. long but usually much less; bracts filiform, ± 1 mm. long, caducous; pedicels ± 1 mm. long.. Calyx ± 1.5 mm. long, divided to the middle, each lobe with a blister on it.. Corolla puberulent outside.. Stamens 4–5 mm. long..
