Bushy suffrutex or decumbent perennial herb to 0.5 m tall. Stems to 0.8 m long, many, arising from a woody rootstock, semi-prostrate, zigzag, ±4-angled above, pubescent, tomentose or pilose-sericeous, hairs unequally biramous, scattered pearl bodies present. Stipules 2-7 mm long, narrowly triangular-attenuate to setaceous, mostly reflexed. Leaves pinnately (6)9-19(20)-foliolate; leaf axis 12-50 mm long, including petiole of 0-3 mm, a leaflet usually present at or near base, stipels absent; terminal leaflet (3)4-13 x 1-6(7) mm, oblanceolate or obovate, strigose to sericeous above, densely ± sericeous or tomentose beneath. Raceme 4-12 cm long, including peduncle of 10-28 mm; bracts 2-5 mm long, subulate; pedicels 0.5-1 mm long. Calyx 3-5(6) mm long, sericeous; lobes narrowly lanceolate-subulate, 2-4 times as long as tube. Keel apex obtuse. Stamens 3.5-4.2 mm long. Pod 8-16 x 1-2 mm, reflexed, subcylindrical to ±4-angled, straight or slightly curved, pubescent to subsericeous. Seeds 4-6, 1-1.2 x 0.8-1 mm, ± squarish to globular, pale yellowish-brown.
