Characteristics

Perennial herb, up to 200 mm high. Stems procumbent, woody. Leaves pinnate with 11-21 leaflets per leaf; leaflets greyish, small, 5-7 mm long, 6 or 7 pairs along rachis, upper surface ± glabrous. Flowers: inflorescence short; peduncles below lowest scar of fallen flowers shorter than leaves and often shorter than petiolar axis; staminal sheath < 6 mm long; standard with brown hairs on back; corolla red; Nov.-Mar. Pods few per inflorescence, short with pointed apex.
