Characteristics

Reseeding shrub, 0.4-2.5 m high; stems woody, rigid, the many long-branches erect, ± closely parallel, indumentum densely canescent strigose to subtomentose and with biramous hairs on raised gland-like epidermal papillae. Stipules tooth-like, up to 1 mm long. Leaves (3)5(7)-foliolate, densely fascicled, subsessile or petioles up to 1 mm long. Terminal leaflet 6-22 x 1.5-4.5 mm, oblanceolate, glossy foveolate-subrugulate above, ± densely canescent strigose below, revolute margins up to 0.3 mm wide on lower surface, apex rounded to subacute. Inflorescences of 0.5-20 mm long, 3-10(15)-flowered racemes; peduncle 1-4 mm long; pedicels (2.0)2.5-5.0 mm long; plants mass-flowering. Flowers 7-8 mm long, pink to mauve, petals persistent; calyx 2.0-2.5(3.0) mm long, grey strigillose-puberulent; lobes triangular, shorter than to ± equalling tube; standard strigillose-subsericeous dorsally, keel apex acute. Stamens 4-5 mm long. Ovary densely canescent-strigose. Flowering time Mar.-Nov. Pod 10-17 x 2.0-2.5 mm.
