Flowers: inflorescence up to twice as long as leaves; stems bearing 9-30 racemes each; calyx ± glabrous, sharply 5-toothed; staminal sheath 7-10 mm long; standard with brown hairs on back; corolla red; Dec.-Feb. Pods slender, ± 25 mm long, patent to erect.
