Characteristics

Reseeding shrub, 0.4-3.0 m high; stems woody, the many long-branches erect, ± closely parallel, indumentum densely subtomentose to hispid with biramous hairs on raised gland-like epidermal papillae. Stipules subulate, up to 4 mm long. Leaves pinnately to subdigitately (3-)5-7-foliolate; petioles 1-2 mm long. Terminal leaflet 8-22 x (2.0)2.5-8.0 mm, oblanceolate, glossy foveolate-subrugulate and densely strigose to sericeous above, densely canescent strigose below, revolute margin to ± 0.3 mm wide on lower surface, apex ± rounded. Inflorescences of 5-15 mm long, 6-12-flowered racemes; peduncle 1-4 mm long; pedicels (2.0)2.5-6.0 mm long; mass-flowering towards branch tips. Flowers 7-8 mm long, pink to mauve; calyx (3.0)3.5-5.0 mm long, densely hirsute; lobes ± lanceolate, ± equalling to slightly longer than tube; standard subsericeous dorsally, keel apex acute to rostrate. Stamens 4.5-5.0 mm long. Ovary canescent-tomentose. Flowering time Mar.-June. Pod 8-12 x 2.0-2.5 mm.
