Characteristics

Prostrate, scrambling to erect suffrutex, up to 0.4 m high; stems slender, flexuous, angular, ribbed, strigose, greenish red. Leaves unifoliolate or digitately 3-foliolate; petioles 0.5-4.0 mm long. Terminal leaflet 4-30 x 0.5-4.0 mm, linear to oblanceolate, ± complicate, subglaucous, strigose, apex often recurved. Inflorescences of 20-50(90) mm long, 7-25-flowered racemes; peduncle 5-16 mm long; pedicels 1-2 mm long. Flowers 5-6 mm long, red; calyx (2.6)3.0-3.5 mm long, strigose; lobes ± stiffly lanceolate-subulate, 2-3 x tube length; standard strigose dorsally. Stamens 3-4 mm long. Ovary densely strigose. Flowering time Oct.-Apr. Pod 12-22 x 2.0-2.5 mm.
