Erect herb 1–1.5 m. tall.. Stems somewhat ridged, like the leaf-and inflorescence-rhachides rather densely covered with short stiff spreading dark brown biramous hairs.. Stipules narrowly triangular-linear, up to 7 mm. long; leaf-rhachis up to 17 cm. long, including a petiole of 2–3 cm., prolonged up to 7 mm. beyond the lateral leaflets; petiolules 1–2 mm.; stipellae up to 3 mm. long; leaflets 11–27, oblong-elliptic, up to 23 mm. long, 8–10 mm. wide, ending in a mucro up to 1.5 mm. long, white pilose on both surfaces, but the hairs beneath the midrib brownish.. Racemes many-flowered, 12–19 cm. long, including a peduncle of 5–7 cm.; bracts narrowly triangular-linear, up to 6 mm. long, caducous; pedicels up to 3 mm. long, finally reflexed.. Calyx dark brown, pubescent; tube 2 mm. long; lobes triangular-acuminate, the lowest 2 mm. long, the upper shorter.. Standard densely crisped white pubescent outside, 12–15 mm. long.. Stamens 10–12 mm. long.. Ovary brown or white strigulose, several-ovuled.. Pods unknown.
