Erect herb or subshrub up to 1 m. tall, branches glabrous or glabrescent.. Leaf-rhachis up to 5 cm. long, including a petiole of 2–3 mm.; stipules subulate-setaceous, 2–3 mm. long; stipellae filiform 0.4–0.8 mm. long; leaflets 9–13, nearly always alternate, elliptic, rounded or broadly acute and apiculate at the apex, broadly cuneate at the base, darker above than beneath, sparsely strigulose on both surfaces, increasing in size towards the leaf-tip, up to 20 mm. long and 13 mm. wide.. Racemes axillary, loosely 10–25-flowered, 4–5 cm. long, including a peduncle of ±1 cm.; bracts filiform, ±2 mm. long, very caducous; flowering pedicels spreading, up to 5 mm. long, fruiting pedicels ascending, up to 7 mm. long.. Calyx strigulose with narrowly triangular lobes, up to 2 mm. long.. Standard appressed white pubescent outside.. Staminal sheath ±4 mm. long.. Ovary glabrous.. Pod nearly straight, up to 25 mm. long, ±1.5 mm. wide, 4–6-seeded.
