Characteristics

Perennial, erect, branching, 45-65 cm or more high; stems and branches straight, 1-2.5 mm thick, angular above, very thinly sprinkled with adpressed hairs or subglabrous, probably green or greyish-green. Leaves 2-5 cm long, with 3-5 linear leaflets, the lateral 8-15 mm and the terminal one 15-30 mm long, 1-3 mm broad, thinly sprinkled with adpressed hairs on both sides or nearly glabrous. Racemes 4-9 cm long, 3-15-flowered; peduncle very slender 0.3 mm thick, with the part below the lowest scar of fallen flowers usually longer than the leaves. Flowers ascending. Pedicels 4-6 mm long. Calyx-lobes 1 mm long. Corolla 7 mm long; standard pubescent with adpressed brown hairs on the back. Pods spreading or ascending, 3-4 cm long, somewhat compressed-terete, acute, thinly adpressed-pubescent or sub-glabrous.
