Characteristics

Trailing to mat-forming suffrutex, up to 0.3 m high, stems angular, villous-pilose. Stipules 3-6 x (1.5)2.0-5.0 mm, ± ovate, apex obtuse to shortly acuminate. Leaves digitately 3-foliolate; petioles 1-150 mm long, slender. Terminal leaflet (5)6-30 x (4)5-22 mm, broadly obovate, apex ± rounded; glabrous above, villous-pilose beneath. Inflorescences of 40-250 mm long, 15-35-flowered racemes; peduncle 20-170 mm long; pedicels 1.0-2.5 mm long. Flowers 6.5-8.0 mm long, bright rose-red; calyx 3.0-3.5 mm long, sparsely to densely villous-pilose; lobes broadly triangular to lanceolate, ± equalling to twice tube length; standard glabrous dorsally; keel apex obtuse to apiculate. Stamens 5.5-6.5 mm long. Flowering time Oct.-Jan. Pod 17-28 x 2-3 mm.
