Erect strigose annual with a taproot, up to 1.4 m. tall.. Leaves simple; stipules subulate, 2–4 mm. long; petiole 1–2 mm. long; blade linear-lanceolate, up to 5 cm. long and 6 mm. wide.. Inflorescence a much-branched panicle; lower bracts ± foliaceous, the upper ± 1 mm. long; pedicels straight, erect, 2–4 mm. long, jointed ± 0.6 mm. below the flower.. Calyx divided to the base, ± 1.5 mm. long, strigose.. Standard and keel ± 3.5 mm. long, strigose outside.. Stamens ± 3–4 mm. long.. Style much longer than the 2-ovuled ovary.. Pod more or less erect, 4–5 mm. long, 2 mm. wide, 1 mm. thick, strigose-hispid, 2-seeded; endocarp not spotted.. Seeds smooth.
