Characteristics

Erect to scrambling suffrutex, up to 0.6(0.8) m high; stems many, woody below, wiry, angular, densely ± canescent appressed strigose, pearl bodies in leaf axils. Stipules 0.5-1.5(3.5) mm long, subulate. Leaves pinnately 5-9-foliolate, rachis 3-9(15) mm long; petioles 0.5-1.5(3.5) mm long. Terminal leaflet ± sessile, 1.1-7.0(10.0) x 0.8-2.0(3.5) mm, linear-oblanceolate, apex ± acute; both surfaces ± densely strigose, differently sized hairs below;. Inflorescences of (3)5-25(50) mm long, laxly 3-10(15)-flowered racemes; peduncle (2)3-7(12) mm long; pedicels 1.0-1.5 mm long. Flowers 4-5 mm long, carmine-red; calyx 2.0-3.0(4.5) mm long, ± densely strigose; lobes narrowly triangular to subulate, ± equalling to 2(4)x tube length; standard dorsal surface hyaline strigose, keel apex obtuse. Stamens 3-4 mm long. Flowering time Oct.-Apr. Pod 5-12 x 1.5 mm, straight, cylindrical, hyaline strigillose.
