Softly woody shrub up to 3 m. tall; stems ribbed, brownish or whitish strigulose.. Stipules linear-lanceolate, often reflexed, up to 8 mm. long; rhachis brown strigulose, up to 14 cm. long, including a petiole of 1–3 cm., prolonged ± 5 mm. beyond the lateral leaflets; stipellae brown strigulose, ± 1.5 mm. long; petiolules ± 2 mm. long; leaflets 11–21, oblong-elliptic, apiculate, up to 25 mm. long and 14 mm. wide, finely white strigulose above, with both brown and white hairs beneath.. Racemes dark brown strigulose, many-flowered, up to 20 cm. long, including a peduncle of up to 6 cm.; bracts linear-lanceolate, attenuate, up to 5 mm. long, caducous; pedicels up to 3 mm. long and reflexed in fruit.. Calyx brown strigulose, ± 1.5 mm. long; lobes broadly triangular, with a short subulate tip, about as long as the tube.. Corolla densely white puberulent outside.. Stamens 7–9 mm. long.. Pods blackish-brown, somewhat upturned at the tip, ± 4 cm. long, 3 mm. wide and 2 mm. thick, minutely strigulose, ± 8-seeded; endocarp somewhat spotted.
