Erect branching annual up to 1.5 m. tall from a taproot, somewhat strigulose throughout, the hairs strictly appressed.. Stipules setaceous, 1–2 mm. long; petiole 1–2 mm. long; leaf-blade broadly linear or narrowly oblanceolate, up to 4 cm. long and 2–4 mm. wide.. Raceme 2–5-flowered, up to 1 cm. long, including a peduncle of 2–4 mm.; bracts ± 0.5 mm. long, deciduous; pedicels ± 1.5 mm. long.. Calyx 1–1.5 mm. long, divided to about the middle; lobes subulate..
