Closely related to I. hochstetteri and I. praticola; differing in its usually narrower (2 mm. wide) almost straight 7–10-seeded fruit and the calyx only about half as long as the 4–5 mm. long stamens or less.. Leaflets glabrous above or almost so.. The fruiting raceme is up to 9 cm. long.. Fig. 36/8, p. 221.
