Differs from I. fulgens Bak. in the following respects.. Leaflets 7–15, becoming rather rigid, up to 3 cm. long and 2 cm. wide, but often much smaller and narrower, rounded, truncate or cordate at the base, densely or sparsely silky pubescent on both surfaces, conspicuously darker above than beneath.. Standard white puberulent outside, like the keel, rounded or truncate at the apex.. Stamens 9–11 mm. long.. Pods cylindrical, up to 5 or 6 cm. long, ± 3 mm. wide; endocarp densely spotted.. Seeds 6–10, widely separated, pitted.
