Erect much-branched shrublet up to 1 m. tall; young branches more or less densely pubescent.. Stipules brownish, glabrous, narrowly triangular-attenuate, ± 2 mm. long; rhachis pilose, up to 5 cm. long in luxuriant young plants but usually much less, including a yellow petiole of, as a rule, ± 1 mm., prolonged ± 1 mm. beyond lateral leaflets; leaflets usually 7–15, less often 3–5, with well-developed stipellae, cuneate-oblong, obtuse, apiculate, often recurved at the tip, up to 11 mm. long and 3 mm. wide, usually glabrous, rarely strigulose above, strigose beneath (hairs 1 mm. long), channelled and glutinous at the margins.. Racemes usually 2–3-flowered; peduncle up to 15 mm. long, glabrescent; bracts very caducous, linear, 0.5–1 mm. long; pedicels pilose, ± 1 mm. long.. Calyx ± 1.5 mm. long, divided to the middle; lobes usually glandular at the tip.. Corolla pubescent outside.. Stamens 4–6 mm. long.. Pod black when ripe with yellow sutures, 10–20 mm. long, 1.8 mm. wide, 1.4 mm. thick, usually glabrous, rarely strigulose, 7–10-seeded; endocarp spotted.. Seeds pitted.
