Characteristics

Caulis herbaceus elongatus teres superne pilis albidis exigue vestitus. Folia digitalum trifoliolata. Foliola late obovata basi cuneata praecipue subtus sparse strigosa superne marginibus exceptis glabriuscula 1.8-3.0 cm longa, 1.7-2.4 cm lata, petiole saepissime 2.0-2.5 cm longo. Stipulae ebrdato-ovatae acuminatae quam petioli multoties breviores. Pedunculi valde elongati ex speciminibus mihi obviis 25-30 cm longi extremitates versus densiuscule Horiferi. Pedicelli breves quam calyx breviores. Bracteae angustae caducae. Calyx pilis albidis vel cinereis vestitus calycis lobi lanceolati acuminati. Vexillum glabrum ±7 mm longum ovatum brevissime unguiculatum carinae subaequilongum. Alae brevissime unguiculatae. Carina liaviculari formis utrisque infra medium in calcar breve conicum producta. Stylus filiformis incurvatus. Ovarium glabrum pluriovulatum. Legumen baud visum.

Decumbent suffrutex, up to 0.4 m high, many-stemmed, angular to flattened, spreading hirsute-strigose, hairs unequally biramous. Stipules 4-25 x 3-15 mm, asymmetrically ovate-cordate, acuminate. Leaves with petioles 7-35(45) mm long. Terminal leaflet (15)20-50 x 10-35 mm, ovate to broadly obovate-cuneate, apex rounded to obtuse, both surfaces hirsute-strigose, venation prominent below. Inflorescences of 12-300 mm long, (20)40-60-flowered racemes; peduncle 70-200 mm long; pedicels 1-2 mm long, slender. Flowers 8-11 mm long, orange-pink to coral; calyx 3.5-5.0 mm long, lobes lanceolate to subulate, ± equalling to twice tube length; standard glabrous dorsally; keel apex obtuse. Stamens 7-8 mm long. Ovary glabrous. Flowering time Sept.-Jan. Pod immature, deflexed.
