Characteristics

Erect annual up to 60 cm. tall, the branches glabrous or with very few appressed hairs ± 0.5 mm. long.. Stipules filiform, almost glabrous, ± 2 mm. long; lower leaves up to 15-foliolate, the upper ones ± 7-foliolate; petiole nil or under 1 mm.; rhachis up to 45 mm. long, prolonged up to 4 mm. beyond the lateral leaflets, in the larger leaves the interval between the 2 lower leaflet pairs is 1–2 mm. only, less than half that between the other leaflet pairs; leaflets narrowly cuneate-oblong, rounded or acute, subapiculate, up to 15mm. long and 5mm. wide,the lowest pair asymmetrically ovate-acute, ± 6 mm. long by 3 mm. wide, glabrescent above, strigose beneath, with glutinous margins.. Racemes 2–3-flowered; peduncle glabrous, 12–20 mm. long; bracts caducous, filiform, up to 1 mm. long; pedicels glabrescent, 1 mm. long.. Calyx strigulose, 1.3 mm. long, divided to the middle, the lobes triangular with glandular tips.. Corolla sparsely puberulent outside.. Stamens 4–4.5 mm. long.. Pod 13–20 mm. long, ± 1.7 mm. wide and 1.4 mm. thick, glabrous, 5–10-seeded; endocarp spotted.. Seeds pitted.
